feta burgers

Homely food to fill our weekends, irresistibly feta burgers with crushed new potatoes.

A burger is not a Greek burger unless it is naked, aka mpiftékia. These wonderful meat patties always got in the oven by themselves or often with some oven-baked potatoes.  A wholesome meal for a family or a feast with friends. No BBQ is required obviously, you can just slip them in the oven.

Every family has its own recipe for mpiftékia and I dare say it’s one of the Sunday favourites along with the roasts. If you are a bit careful with that waistline, you can enjoy a burger ‘naked’ with salad.

But here we have crushed new potatoes! I advise you to double the portions of the tatties, these golden little nuggets are simply delicious. Yes, you will be going back for second helpings.
