Summer in the city comes with scorching temperatures in Athens but also great pleasures. For a change I’m not talking food, but the gorgeous screens you can find all over Athens:therino, our open air cinema! Continue readingby
Most of the people who visit Greece, usually fly to Athens. Be it at the height of summer, when Athens is swarming with visitors making their way to the islands or during winter, when mild weather and winter sun will help you recharge your batteries. However, it’s no secret that the best time to enjoy a crowd-free capital is in the autumn and spring. Now, I can imagine you coming to Greece, lazing on that sun-bed with a book at hand, enjoying the sea breeze and savouring amazing food. There is nothing better than taking back home a bit of this flavour along with your holiday snaps. Continue readingby
So here is me, being out with friends for the best part of last week. We went for drinks, we went for food, we went all over the place, even to the open-air cinema; the screens have started opening their doors the past couple of weeks. It’s been a while that I wanted to do a best of list of places for going out in Athens and I am always met with indecisiveness – there are too many places with gorgeous views to the Parthenon, scrumptious food and delectable cocktails. My lists are growing long, very long indeed but here are a few gems I visited last week that I will definitely recommend to anyone stopping by Athens for a long weekend. Continue readingby
